Re-elect Shore Action for your Kaipātiki Local Board

The Shore Action team has led a cohesive, stable and strong Kaipātiki Local Board and made huge progress for our area. This election we are standing a strong team of 8 candidates prepared to take action to deliver for our local communities. #8TicksShoreAction

Together we have:

  • supersized our investment in the environment and pest-free initiatives
  • installed shade sails and upgraded playgrounds
  • delivered a huge number of bush track upgrades, with more to come
  • held Auckland Transport to account on Onewa Road
  • prevented parkland sales
  • spoke out against the downgrade of suburban roads to chip seal and secured an alternative method
  • secured new homes for Pest Free Kaipātiki and Kaipātiki Project
  • opened Local Board meetings to the public and axed ratepayer-funded lunches
  • invested in Māori community development
  • achieved a plan and funding for Little Shoal Bay to tackle flooding and inundation
  • initiated an industrial pollution prevention programme in Wairau, Birkenhead and Beach Haven
  • supported hundreds of community events, including Movies in Parks, Summer Fun play in our parks and Winter Fun play in our halls
  • stood up to council on freedom camping at Little Shoal Bay and in the road corridor
  • secured all of our parkland as reserve land, and initiated a local parks plan, to reflect what you value about your parks and reserves
  • supported our special character areas and heritage
  • saved Frank Larking’s play boat
  • ... and much more!
